Chinese brushwork and the Oriental use of space are evident in her work and her focus is to combine these with a Western individuality of expression.
I’m interested in painting cities by water: how the light and colour from them is reflected on the harbour, river or sea, e.g. in Hong Kong, Venice, New York. I am, at present, particularly interested in movement and cycles in Nature, which involve landscapes and seasons: my paintings are semi-abstract. Having learned Chinese brushwork and European painting techniques, my main aim is to combine East and West – my brushwork and composition is mainly Eastern, combined with a western individuality of expression. Being an elected member of the Royal Watercolour Society of Wales I paint a lot in watercolours and also use acrylic on canvas.

The ability to create an unforgettable impression of a natural landscape by experimenting with combination of colors, is a gift a painter can present to the viewers. Although all landscapes exist, my paintings promote viewers to develop their own imaginaion and thoughts. The aim of my painting is to bring back some unforgettable memories presented by nature.
