until 02.11. | #2577ARTatBerlin | Galerie Klaus Gerrit Friese shows since 7th September 2019 an exhibition with drawings by the artist Thomas Müller.

“Drawing, alongside painting, is the second core element of our gallery programme. Many of our artists have their very own, intensive approach to this medium, and it is therefore a pleasure to exhibit Thomas Müller, an artist whose work is entirely dedicated to drawing.

His complex, multi-layered works on paper are as strict, precise as they are poetic in the same artistic trait: they ignite a pull that grips the viewer. This is how I have always imagined art, and I think of Thomas Müller when I read these sentences by Kafka: “How do you like my drawing? Well, you know, I used to be a great draughtsman. But wait, I’ll send you some old drawings next time so you have something to laugh about. Those drawings satisfied me at that time, it’s been years, more than anything in his time.”

Because Thomas Müller knows his way around literature, in his field of drawing and far beyond, and he gives all his artistic energy to every single sheet we present to you in this exhibition.”
