until 12.02. | #3291ARTatBerlin | SCHMALFUSS BERLIN gallery shows from 15th January 2022 the double exhibition IN SIGHT with works by the artists Thomas Kitzinger and Hans Thomann. Oil painting on aluminum and objects are presented.

Surfaces, perspectives, transparencies. The first vernissage of the SCHMALFUSS BERLIN Gallery in 2022 is dedicated to Thomas Kitzinger and Hans Thomann. Both artists re-position their models in an art space that is subject to its own rules.

Thomas Kitzinger (*1955) creates paintings in which he captures macro images of plants or vases in oil on aluminum. He unemotionally focuses on the detailed views of his model, so that his object paintings resemble portraits. The artist is known for his dynamically realistic still lifes and portraiture. He lives and works in Freiburg, Germany.

Hans Thomann (*1957) uses items he encounters in his everyday life to create immersive objects. The use of reflective and transparent surfaces always directly involves the surrounding space and the audience. He lives and works in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
