Surfaces, perspectives, transparencies. The first vernissage of the SCHMALFUSS BERLIN Gallery in 2022 is dedicated to Thomas Kitzinger and Hans Thomann. Both artists re-position their models in an art space that is subject to its own rules.

Thomas Kitzinger (*1955) creates paintings in which he captures macro images of plants or vases in oil on aluminum. He unemotionally focuses on the detailed views of his model, so that his object paintings resemble portraits. The artist is known for his dynamically realistic still lifes and portraiture. He lives and works in Freiburg, Germany.
