until 17.03. | #0444ARTatBerlin | The gallery FATA MORGANA currently shows the exhibition “Moskau Minsk” with photographs by Sandra Ratkovic and André Fischer.
Russia and Belarus are – different from Western Europe or America – often out of focus of the (West) European photographers. The photographs of the exhibition ” Moscow – Minsk “, that have been created during a stay in Russia and Belarus in 2015, throw a look at the capitals of the two Eastern European countries with pictures in the tradition of ” street photography “, but also with classic black and white views. In addition to familiar images they show unusual to German observers – for example in terms of military culture of commemoration.
