until 15.09. | #2545ARTatBerlin | aquabitART shows from 23rd August 2019 the solo exhibition AQUABIT II, a light installation by the Dutch artist Peter Vink.

After his extremely successful AQUABIT installation in 2017, Dutch artist Peter Vink returns to the gallery with a new site-specific concept.

AQUABIT II is inspired by the spatial drawings of the Bauhaus teacher Josef Albers and his ability to create perspective, imaginary spaces. Peter Vink proposes a rotating structure derived from the architectural environment, which builds a three-dimensional drawing in the gallery space. The visitor is invited to discover the surroundings from a different perspective.

“Vink composes site-specific installations that suggest a new physical as well as intellectual space within the room in which they occur; by carefully balancing on the borders between art and design, functionality and visual pleasure, the work of Vink is not only to be perceived aesthetically but also conceptually.” An essay by Vanessa Souli

The exhibition will be shown as part of Architecture + Art Weekend 2019.
