until 05.11. | #5150ARTatBerlin | Galerie Dittmar shows from Saturday, 09. September 2026 the exhibition “Ein anderes Venedig” by the artist Mona Breede.
The exhibition features a new, extensive body of work by Mona Breede on Venice. Working under these unique conditions, she further developed her innovative approach—including the choreographic method she had pioneered earlier and the subsequent portrait series—and explored new forms of expression.

To this end, the artist had been awarded a three-month research and work fellowship by the German Study Center in Venice in 2025. She presented her findings at the Study Center in September 2025. She presented them again in early December 2025 at the Study Center’s conference “Venice as a Laboratory: Perspectives on Interdisciplinary Venice Research between Science and Art” in her lecture “Venice as a Resonance Space – Yesterday and Today,” incorporating her most recently developed material.
