until 24.07. | #2497ARTatBerlin | Galerie mutare shows from 22nd June 2019 an exhibition with paintings by the artist Karl Oppermann.

Karl Oppermann was born in 1930 in Wernigerode.
 After graduating from high school, he studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Berlin. From 1970 to 1985 he worked as a freelance artist in his studio on the island of Elba (Italy). From 1971 to 1996 he was a professor for free painting at the Hochschule der Künste, today Kunst Universität Berlin. In 2008 the “Stiftung Karl Oppermann” was established together with the Hochschule Harz.

The painter’s works have already been shown in numerous national (including Schloss Charlottenburg/Berlin, Hamburg) and international exhibitions (including New York, Venezuela, Colombia). His works can be found in public and private collections such as the Jewish Museum, Berlin, Prussian Cultural Heritage – Kupferstichkabinett, Dresden, Landesmuseum Bonn, Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid.

Seit 1989 arbeitet Karl Oppermann in seinen Ateliers in Barcelona (Spanien) und im Harz.

Exhibition period: Saturday, 22nd June – Wednesday, 24th July 2019

Opening hours during June and July 2019: Wed – Fri 2.00 – 8.00 p.m., Sat noon – 6.00 p.m.
