Jana Troschke | Einzelausstellung | Galerie Inga Kondeyne | 15.03.- 27.04.2024

until 27.04. | #4200ARTatBerlin | Galerie Inga Kondeyne shows from 15. March 2024 (Opening: 15.03) the exhibition by the artist Jana Troschke.

Jana Troschke orchestrates a ballet of signs, lines and gestures in her drawings. She creates a pictorial event with pen and ink. The richness of form of this artistic language unfolds in her drawings, in a flow, as a flow. The pictorial ciphers, circles, dots, hatchings, blobs are always in dance-like motion around a hidden center. They entwine around themselves, correspond, communicate in the finest nuances. The texture of the signs emerges in a pulsating, rhythmic, vibrating movement, in constant becoming. The eye wandering into the drawing follows the constant oscillation between legible allusions and abstract material play. This space of possibility constantly demands and achieves a new search, a linking, a looking away and looking further. The visual space is filled with intensities and forces: a mise-en-scène of potentialities in which the revelation and dissolution of appearances are inextricably linked – in such an event of showing and concealing, a different understanding is made possible in the first place. Jana Troschke’s drawings are fields of vision in which the drawing pursues its own adventure, its becoming visible. Each sheet is a choreographic balancing act between something and nothing…Dorothée Bauerle-Willert
