until 17.06. | #1308ARTatBerlin | Galerie Burster shows from 27th April 2017 the exhibition “ins blaue” by the artist Alex Feuerstein.

Oscillating between fiction and reality, Alex Feuerstein’s (*1981 in Heidelberg, based in Karlsruhe, Germany) figurative compositions remind of flashing fragments of thoughts in a somnolent state of mind. Feuerstein’s paintings can each be read as consecutive as well as autonomous sceneries, generating – in their entireness and shown as a group – an impressive overall appearance. His paintings show on first view snapshots of profane, daily scenes or vague moments, that – ripped out of their usual context – bear a certain absurdity. The pictured scenes are kept open to interpretation and are distorted just up to that point where they cannot be classified clearly. Abstract, alienated situations offer variables that – according to the viewer’s very personal expectations, imprint and sentimental perception – evoke entirely different associations.

Vernissage: Thursday, 27th April 2017, 07:00 – 09:00 p.m.

Exhibition period: Thursday, 27th April – Saturday, 17th June 2017
