until 10.10. | #5157ARTatBerlin | Haverkampf Leistenschneider shows from Thursday, 10. September 2026 the exhibition From the Sleep Side with works by Aubrey Levinthal, Biala and Tal R.
On the occasion of this year’s Berlin Art Week, Haverkampf Leistenschneider presents a crossgenerational and transcontinental survey of three artists, focusing on new works by the US American artist Aubrey Levinthal (b. 1986) whose recent paintings are placed in a direct visual and thematic relationship with works by Biala (Janice Biala, 1903–2000) and Tal R (b. 1967). Both artists serve as significant points of reference and sources of inspiration for Levinthal. The exhibition not only combines a historical perspective with contemporary figurative art to form a transnational discourse on painting, but also fosters an intimate dialogue on the representability of vulnerability and the passage of time in modern painting.
