At the end of February, HfS Ernst Busch puppetry graduate Josephine Hock will show the premiere of her latest work “und samstags staubsaugen” (> and vacuuming on Saturdays). In it, Hock thematises work in the household and its unequal distribution.
Who takes on which activities, rituals? What traditions and stories are handed down? Why do more women still take over the household in percentage terms, while men do more paid work? With cleaning sponges, detergents, mini washing machines and cleaning rags, Hock raises a lot of dust and questions our everyday domestic activities.
