NEWS ++ Transmediale 2023: a model, a map, a fiction, Akademie der Künste, Berlin and citywide | 01.02.-05.02.2023

The 36th edition of the transmediale festival will take place from 1 to 5 February 2023 at the Akademie der Künste, Hanseatenweg and other venues in Berlin. Under this year’s title “a model, a map, a fiction”, the five-day festival explores scaling technologies and how they reconfigure our relationships, emotions and the political. The opening evening of transmediale presents artistic interventions, performance and music. This will be followed by four days of discourse programme with discussions, workshops and film screenings. The transmediale is pleased to announce a very strong advance demand for festival tickets and is already sold out. However, the entire conference programme will be livestreamed on the transmediale website (link below) for those who cannot attend directly.

From the spatial to the temporal, from the intimate to the geopolitical, scaling and standardised systems of measurement and their many technological manifestations influence and shape our perception of the world.
