Body Intervention Monty Richthofen – Dittrich + Schlechtriem

The Berlin gallery Dittrich + Schlechtriem is presenting the performance “The Cards You Were Dealt” by artist Monty Richthofen from 22 February to 24 February 2024. Richthofen will create a body intervention in which he explores the ideas of freedom of choice, dialogue across generational boundaries and transformation through tattooing. Participants will be selected at random.

In the ongoing project, the selected participant will be presented with three texts that deal with phenomena of the 21st century. If they agree to have one of the texts tattooed, they can then choose three other texts for the next participant. The arrangement and design of the text will be decided together with the artist.
