NEWS ++ Kick-off to the anniversary year UNI.T 50: Workshop evening “Lange Schatten” of the singing/music theater course – UdK-Theater UNI.T | 14.02. + 16.02.2025

14 and 16 February UDK-Theater UNI.T presents “Lange Schatten”. The year 2025 will be celebrated as a double anniversary year at the UdK Berlin: Not only is Berlin University of the Arts celebrating its 50th anniversary, but Berlin University of the Arts’ theater, UNI.T, will also be 50 years old.

On February 14, 1975, the curtain rose for the first time on Boris Blacher’s one-act opera “The Secret of the Purloined Letter” at today’s UNI.T. Exactly 50 years later, the workshop evening of the singing/musical theater course “Long Shadows” celebrates its premiere.
For the anniversary year, the Faculty of Performing Arts has decided to show the atmospherically inviting theater space in all its diversity. All events will use it in different ways – away from the so-called “peep-box stage”.
