The Friedrichswerder Church is launching into spring with new admission prices and expanded educational programs. Since its reopening in 2020, the Friedrichswerder Church has become a popular exhibition venue on Berlin’s Museum Island. Last year, this branch of the Alte Nationalgalerie (Old National Gallery) welcomed 157,652 visitors. New admission prices will take effect on March 4, 2026.
The Friedrichswerder Church is the only surviving church building by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in Berlin’s city center whose facade and interior still correspond to their original appearance. Since 2020, the Friedrichswerder Church’s permanent exhibition has featured major works of sculpture from the long 19th century, drawn from the National Gallery’s collection.
