The Schinkel Pavillon was built in 1969 by the architect Richard Paulick. Paulick is best known for his classicist-modernist architecture of Karl Marx Allee in Berlin. Today, the Schinkel Pavillon serves as a venue for the promotion of contemporary sculpture, installation and media art. The pavilion is located in the garden of the Kronprinzenpalais on Oberwallstraße in Berlin-Mitte and offers an impressive view of the buildings surrounding it from different eras – from the Friedrichwerder Church to the TV Tower.
