Egbert Baqué founded his gallery Egbert Baqué Contemporary in 2005, which primarily exhibited painting, drawings and photography. One special focus of the gallery was on crossover projects that link the visual arts with other art forms such as rock music, literature, or film. In recent years, the gallery has presented exhibitions about Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Aras Ören and Rainer Werner Fassbinder.
Lately the gallery is working on a new concept. Meanwhile it showed different exhibitions by several artists on two days during the week or by arrangement.
Egbert Baqué Contemporary was located on Fasanenstraße in Berlin-Wilmersdorf and is permanently closed since 2019.
