kajetan Berlin was founded in November 2018 as a private gallery for viewing and reflecting on contemporary art in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The gallery focuses primarily on serious artistic innovation. It focuses both on previously underrepresented mid-career artists with diverse and strong personal perspectives, whose work is characterised by complexity and precision of form, and on discoveries and rediscoveries.
The gallery was initially located in a former artist’s studio (see photo). In the summer of 2021, the gallery relinquished this premises in Berlin-Kreuzberg and will open its new exhibition spaces in the gallery district of Berlin-Charlottenburg from September 2021.
With commitment, kajetan Berlin seeks to connect the gallery’s represented and exhibited artists with museums, curators and private collectors around the world.
