until 18.02. | #3760ARTatBerlin | Galerie SCHMALFUSS BERLIN shows from 17 February 2023 the exhibition “Fabian Weinecke” with works of the artist Fabian Weinecke.
As a painter, draughtsman and lyricist, FABIAN WEINECKE shapes the musical development of the pop group FESTLAND. The trio sets his lyrical texts to music in their own compositions and uses WEINECKE’s paintings, watercolours and drawings in the cover design.
FABIAN WEINECKE, born in 1968 in Düsseldorf, is one of the few multi-talented artists whose work continues to have an effect even after death. The new album by the group FESTLAND, for example, is entitled ‘Hippies’ and features the artist’s painting of the same name on the cover.
In friendly and respectful memory of FABIAN WEINECKE, who died in Berlin in 2012 – in a way the fourth member of the band – FESTLAND will give a concert in our gallery.
At the same time, we will present the small-format works of the multi-talented FABIAN WEINECKE – treasures for lovers of surreal lyrical art.
