Dmitri (Vladimirovich) Vrubel (or Wrubel), born in Moscow on 14.07.1960, died as a result of corona disease on 14.08.2022 in Berlin. Vrubel lived in Berlin, he was a contemporary painter and a member of the Piratenpartei (Pirate Party).

“My God, give me the strength to survive this kiss of death” is a life size street-art painting on the Berlin Wall between Ostbahnhof and Oberbaumbrücke, the so called East Side Gallery. Vrubel created the original piece in 1991. A new version arose in 2009 when the wall was renovated. It measures 7.20 x 3.60 m (width x height).
