International Women’s Day (IWD), originally called International Working Women’s Day, is celebrated on March 8 every year. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women for their economic, political and social achievements.

In 2017 the official theme for IWD is ‘Be Bold for Change’. In response to this at The Ballery, we have brought together a fierce group of artists who’s work supports the modern women who is changing the world; the person who is deciding for themselves how they choose to be represented.

On internation working womens day – March 8th, The Ballery invites you to a celebration event featuring a guest performance by singer-songwriter Mikey Woodbridge introduced by the Berlin scene queen Seline Davasse. This will also be the finissage of the exhibition so save the date!
