The KINDL – Center for Contemporary Art in Berlin is opening four new exhibitions in September: Cornelia Parker. Stolen Thunder (A Storm Gathering) (Kesselhaus), Phoebe Collings-James. Cornelia Parker understands violence and destruction as central moments in sculptural practice. In her sculptural and installation work, she combines deconstruction and redesign. She exposes everyday objects to forces that change their form and create new contexts of meaning. Her art is characterized by a playful approach to time and history; it is an art of translation, transformation, and allusion.
