On the occasion of Gallery Weekend Berlin, the Neue Nationalgalerie presents from 29 April to 10 May 2026 the exhibition “Regular Animals”, an interactive installation by the artist Beeple (Mike Winkelmann). The work marks a new phase in Beeple’s work, expanding his engagement with artificial intelligence and digital art into a fully immersive physical-digital environment. Using animal figures with the heads of well-known personalities, Beeple creates a socio-political allegory of contemporary power structures. With this presentation, Beeple’s work will be shown in Germany for the first time.
“Regular Animals” consists of autonomous robotic dogs that move freely within a defined area. Each robot figure is equipped with a hyper-realistic silicone head modeled after world-famous personalities, including Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso and Beeple himself.
