Founded in 2020 by Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, Gallery Gudmundsdottir is the only Icelandic commercial gallery outside Iceland. It focuses on research-based artistic practices with an emphasis on feminist and queer aesthetics, interdisciplinary approaches and cultural discourse. Exhibitions often address themes such as the intersection of nature and technology, human relationships with the environment, and post-capitalist critique. The programme includes works in the fields of sound, performance and experimental media, reflecting Guðný Guðmundsdóttir’s background in contemporary music and visual arts. The gallery is located in Berlin’s Mitte district.
