Kupferstichkabinett and Kunstbibliothek at the Kulturforum Berlin

Kupferstichkabinett and Kunstbibliothek at the Kulturforum Berlin

The Kulturforum houses the Kupferstichkabinett (Museum of Prints and Drawings) and the Kunstbibliothek (Art Library).

The Kupferstichkabinett houses a universe of “art on paper” with masterpieces from Sandro Botticelli to Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, Adolph Menzel and Vincent van Gogh, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Pablo Picasso to Andy Warhol and Gerhard Richter. With its treasures, it is a central place of artistic ideas, images and expressions of Europe and the world cultures associated with Europe.

The Kunstbibliothek is an interdisciplinary research institution with one of the world’s largest museum libraries. In addition, there are important collections on the history of architecture, photography, graphic design and fashion, as well as on book and media art. Together, the library and the museum collections represent the entire source spectrum of research in art and cultural studies.
